These views show Loch Carron and its namesake, the
village of Lochcarron, from various vantage points on the south side of
the loch.
The photos were all taken one morning in February, and
despite the time of year and the snow-capped mountain tops, the weather
was almost warm enough for shirt sleeves!
There is a popular myth, especially prevalent amongst
those who do not know the Highlands very well, that it is always cold,
wet, and windy in this region. Whilst this belief is occasionally
accurate, there are also quite frequent occasions when the opposite is
true - as these photos demonstrate.
